Caldwell, Idaho – On Tuesday, October 22nd, the Southwest District Health (SWDH) Board of Directors met at 9:00am Mountain Time to hear arguments for and against continuing to purchase, promote, and administer COVID-19 vaccines within the health district.

Dr. John Tribble, along with a team of presenters that he assembled, led the discussion on the safety and efficacy of the vaccines with the goal of ultimately working towards repairing trust with the public. Dr. Tribble, an emergency medicine doctor, is the Physician Advisor for the district which includes Adams, Canyon, Gem, Payette and Washington counties.

Dr. Ryan Cole and Dr. Peter McCullough were among the speakers testifying in favor of stopping the COVID 19 injections and getting them off the SWDH vaccination schedule.

After lengthy testimony from both sides, in a 4-3 vote the board made the decision that SWDH would no longer provide or administer the COVID vaccines. This decision will effectively uncouple SWDH from the CDC and its recommendations on COVID vaccines and will take effect in all five counties under SWDH jurisdiction.

Miste Karlfeldt, Co-Executive Director and founding member of Health Freedom Idaho, said the decision reached by the SWDH board today is historic and that to her knowledge, the first of its kind in the United States, and may be only the second such decision by governing authorities anywhere in the world.

Karlfeldt said she’s confident that the landmark decision today will give courage to other health administrators throughout Idaho and around the nation and that it will have a grassfire effect when it comes to the protection of individual health autonomy.

Dr. Tribble said, “I believe this decision is monumental and serves as a precedent going forward for other health agencies. It’s the first step in accountability for our federal health agencies and gives hope to the millions of vaccine injured.”
